ANNOUNCEMENT FOR STUDENTS AND STAFF OF THE JAGIELLONIAN UNIVERSITY

The International Conference "Advancements of Microbiology 2025" – a unique opportunity for the UJ and Collegium Medicum UJ community!

Advancements of Microbiology 2025 is a prestigious international symposium and conference that will bring together leading scientists worldwide to present the latest discoveries and discuss key challenges in modern microbiology. The event will take place on April 7–9, 2025 in Warsaw and online, offering participants access to groundbreaking research.

This is a new event of this type in Poland, during which the guests will be an international group, including microbiologists, immunologists, biotechnologists and doctors, and the Scientific Committee includes employees of the Faculty of Medicine of the Jagiellonian University Medical College: Prof. Kinga Kowalska-Duplaga from the Department of Pediatrics, Gastroenterology and Nutrition USD, Dr. Katarzyna Talaga-Ćwiertnia and Dr. Dominika Salamon from the Department of Molecular Medical Microbiology of the Department of Microbiology, and Prof. Tomasz Gosiewski (head of the Microbiome Research Laboratory within this Department), who will chair the Microbiomes Associated with Diseases session and the Exploring the Interconnectedness of Microbes, Humans, and the Environment: A One Health Perspective Overview panel.

On-site in Warsaw, over 300 scientists are expected to participate, and around 100 researchers will present their findings during scientific sessions. The conference is under the patronage of leading international scientific societies such as FEMS and ASM, highlighting its significance on the international stage. It is a unique opportunity to exchange knowledge and engage in inspiring discussions on the role of microorganisms in protecting health and the environment.
