Uzyskanie przez obie jednostki Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego – Collegium Medicum statusu strategicznych infrastruktur badawczych stanowi istotne potwierdzenie ich potencjału naukowego i badawczego oraz znaczenia planowanych działań dla rozwoju badań, innowacji i nowoczesnych technologii medycznych w Polsce. Wpis ten uznaje również rozpoznawalność i wiarygodność CDT-CARD oraz ICDZ oraz jako partnerów przedsięwzięć badawczych, a także sprzyja rozwijaniu współpracy z uczelniami, instytutami, podmiotami leczniczymi oraz przedsiębiorstwami działającymi w obszarze medycyny, biotechnologii i technologii.
Polska Mapa Infrastruktury Badawczej (PMIB) jest prowadzonym przez Ministra Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego wykazem istniejących oraz planowanych strategicznych infrastruktur badawczych o szczególnym znaczeniu dla rozwoju nauki, innowacyjności, gospodarki i współpracy międzynarodowej. Przy ocenie zgłaszanych przedsięwzięć uwzględniane są m.in. ich unikatowość w skali krajowej i międzynarodowej, potencjał naukowy oraz zgodność z krajowymi i europejskimi kierunkami polityki badań i innowacji.
The updated list of strategic research infrastructures was approved by the Minister of Science and Higher Education on 4 August 2026. Information on the results of the call is available on the website of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
The recognition of both Jagiellonian University – Medical College units as strategic research infrastructures represents an important acknowledgement of their scientific and research potential, as well as of the significance of their planned activities for the advancement of research, innovation and modern medical technologies in Poland. Their inclusion in the Polish Research Infrastructure Map also strengthens the visibility and credibility of CDT-CARD and IHDC as partners in research initiatives and supports the further development of cooperation with universities, research institutes, healthcare providers and companies operating in the fields of medicine, biotechnology and health technologies.
The Polish Research Infrastructure Map (PMIB), maintained by the Minister of Science and Higher Education, is a national register of existing and planned strategic research infrastructures of particular importance for the development of science, innovation, the economy and international cooperation. The assessment of submitted initiatives takes into account, among other criteria, their uniqueness at national and international level, scientific potential, and alignment with national and European research and innovation policy priorities.
